The principal objective of this book is to enter into the celebration of the Eucharist. To enter and allow oneself to be guided by the constant reference to the four narratives of the Last Supper. To enter, illuminating the intense elements of the celebration by encounters, often unexpected and surprising, of Jesus in the Gospel. To discover how the Eucharist engenders, supposes and develops elements of Christian life and puts them into action. To discover also the intimate link between the Eucharistic celebration and the Church; how the Eucharist is received and how it contributes to Church life. To marvel at how the Eucharist is in fact a crossroads of all our paths, leading us to Him who is the Way, the Truth and Life. To make our own path into the mystery by unveiling, little by little, the face of Jesus, the master who brought us the Beatitudes and the servant who gave his life at the last Supper. In eleven little chapters, each one referring to an episode in the Gospels, the author covers the principal stages of the Eucharistic celebration in an original and pedagogical manner, gleaning significant and fertile lessons for Christian life, to guide the reader toward a richer experience of the Eucharist.
